Rope that is ready
when you are.

Every hank of FUSION jute is twisted, singed twice by hand and finished with jojoba oil — so it breaks in after a session or two, not after a month of homework.

The Collection

Four ropes. One standard.

Three colors of our signature 6 mm three-strand jute, plus the set we'd hand to a friend tying for the first time.

Our Craft

Made slowly, on purpose.

Machine-twisted jute straight off a spool is dry, hairy and harsh. It needs a maker's hands — and a few days — before it belongs near skin.

01Twist & set

Three-strand lay, heat-set so the rope holds its shape and never kinks harshly.

02Singe, twice

Two passes of flame and a firm buffing. The fuzz is gone; the fiber glows.

03Oil

A whisper of jojoba — supple without turning slick or greasy.

04Rest & coil

Each hank rests a day, is coiled by hand and tied with linen twine.

Why jute

Grip. Slot. Memory. Sound.

Experienced tiers choose jute for reasons that are hard to photograph: it holds a friction without slipping, stacks into clean bands, keeps its lay after being untied, and makes that quiet, particular sound as it runs through your hands.

We don't try to improve on the fiber. We just remove everything that isn't it.

Questions we get a lot

How much rope do I need to start?
For a first chest or hip harness, 2–3 hanks of 8 m is the sweet spot. Our First Tie Set (4 × 8 m) covers a full body harness with rope to spare — see the sizing guide.
How is the package labeled?
Plain courier bag, no logos, no product description. The sender line reads "A. Studio". The gift-box option adds an unbranded kraft box and a handwritten note.
Is it processed with anything I should know about?
Jute, fiber-reactive dye (for the colored ropes), food-grade jojoba oil, and nothing else. No fragrances, no chemical softeners. Full list on each product page.
